Families sharing a home-cooked meal at a table

I have questions about attending a table

How do I find available dinners?

Later down the road, you will be able to browse our listings by destination and date. Each host shows their menu, house rules, and what to expect. You'll see photos and read reviews from other families who've dined there. For now, you apply through the form to attend a dinner in your city of choice.

What if my kids are picky eaters?

Tell the host about your children's preferences when you book. All hosts are experienced with kids and know what they are in for. Some offer simpler options alongside the main menu.

Are the meals suitable for young children?

Yes. Meals are designed to be family-friendly, though some may include spices or flavors that are new to your kids.

How do I book a dinner?

Select a dinner you like and submit your booking request. The host will confirm your reservation and send you details about the menu and what to bring. Payment happens through our platform.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancellation policies vary by host. You'll see the terms before you book. Cancel as soon as you know you can't make it so the host can adjust their plans.

Is it safe to eat in someone's home?

We verify all hosts and encourage reviews from guests. In the future you will be able to see ratings and feedback before booking. Trust your instincts and reach out to us if you have concerns.

I have questions about hosting

What makes a good host?

A good host opens their home with genuine warmth and serves food they believe in. You don't need fancy training or restaurant experience. What matters is your willingness to share your table and create a welcoming space where families feel at home.

How far in advance do I plan?

You control your own schedule. Some hosts plan dinners weeks ahead, others prefer shorter notice. You'll see bookings and can accept or decline based on what works for you.

What if someone cancels last minute?

Cancellation policies are something we're developing during the pilot. You'll have clear expectations about refunds and notice periods before you commit to hosting.

How do I handle dietary restrictions?

Guests will tell you their dietary needs when they book. You decide whether you can accommodate them. It's perfectly fine to decline if something doesn't work for your menu or kitchen.

How much should I charge?

You set your own price based on your menu and what you're offering. We suggest pricing that covers your ingredients and time fairly while remaining accessible to traveling families. Look at what similar dinners cost in your area.

What if I'm nervous about hosting?

That's natural. We'll guide you through everything before your first dinner. You'll know who's coming, how many people, and any dietary needs in advance.

Can I host multiple dinners monthly?

Absolutely. Some hosts do one dinner a month, others do several. You decide your own pace and availability. There's no minimum or maximum.

How do I get paid?

Payments go directly to you after each dinner. We handle the transaction securely and you receive your earnings within a few days of the meal.
